Are you able to use the background app now? A few weeks ago it stopped working properly, and I deleted it. Is it working now? That’s what I used to use all the time. Now I go to the list of apps and go down through them and click the two arrows backwards on the button on the fire stick remote. That clears the cache.

I also wish that the apps would close automatically. The most apps I had open was 10. I think that was because I tested the app after installing them.

My stick boots up blank. I hit the home buttons and I can get to apps to use stick. Can't get to anything else. No maintenance. Help. Tried disconnecting over night. Nothing. Tried the reboot with pkay & selection button. Nothing. Any help will be great. I'll need to dump cache soon.

I had 16 running, but closed them all. Normally I don’t run that many. I just keep forgetting to close them.
I had 10 open and actually, I don't know if this makes sense but I use the Amazon SILK browser to view a website on my Firestick and I have noticed if I am watching a program like on HULU if I do not exit out of HULU, and go straight to Silk to get on a website and then I go back to HULU to view my program it will show as if I was watching the program because it will show it at the end or it will be onto the next program so it means HULU was running in the background while I was on Amazon Silk. Hope this makes sense. Glad to have found this to force stop now!! Awesome 👍
I've had problems with Background apps not working or going to the home page when I try to use force stop. I use fast task killer which seems to work better. Thanks for the info.
