  1. I stopped using all my 4k max fire stick 7 months ago because they started slowing down with each update and with each of those updates it was getting harder to get my rightfully pirated apps to work.

I'm solely now using two Chromecast, two shield Nvidia devices, one vision T-Mobile hub streaming device. Absolutely no issues and I am able to sideload every single app. I am never going back to that crap fire stick.

  2. I have this issue with a 4k max stick. During the update install it took 4 tries to complete the actual update. I had to unplug the power block from the wall socket each time it stuck on the screen you highlighted. Yesterday it occurred again while in use, it actually shut off. Would not restart until i unplugged it from the wall socket. My second stick is a 1 year old 4k, the update is there waiting to install i have not activated the install step. Any news on a fix. Thanks a bunch for the info and a laugh. Canada is on board.

  3. My brother had the problem a few days back. I went up there today and installed his new fire stick because that was his solution .(He is not technically enept) . I had absolutely no idea that any of this was going on. Until I started the research today after I got home I took the old one here. Tried everything I could find on the internet and YouTube. I ended up taking the fire stick apart and trying to find some sort of a strap or something that I could reset. Nothing.! So I guess now I'm going to have to explain to him that it's not his fault and maybe he can get a few bucks back from Amazon because of their ridiculous update. There should be some sort of a class action lawsuit in my opinion.

  4. Hello Adam
I brought over time 3 firesticks 1 cube one of my firesticks is stuck in bootloop I have tried everything but nothing happening so today will contact Amazon today Sept 7th family members having same problem never buy firesticks again not worth the money.
    Thanks for the update.
    Keep the good work going

  5. Mine too is having this issue. However, I have a Sandisk 128 gb flash drive (with all my viewing apps installed on it), fitted via an OTG cable. When I unplug the drive whilst this is happening it will boot up, but when I plug it back in again, it goes straight back to that dreaded start up screen. Have they “messed” about with my flash drive content during their update, and do I plug it back in again in the hope they’ll eventually do a fix on it?

  6. The moral of the story is you get what you pay for. I dealt with the 1st and 2nd Gen Fire cubes and the issues were non stop and both only lasted a year. After that debacle I went to Nvidia Shield TV and in the beginning it too had severe issues and I got so mad I was going to trash it but by accident I solved the problem. I unplugged it to switch it out with a Apple 4K and it would not allow me to load my apps and kept sending me back to sign in. Finally I said forget this and switched it out with a third cube I had bought hoping Amazon had solved its problems and they hadn't. The picture quality was crap so reluctantly I hooked the Shield back up and all the issues it were gone. It had been disconnected for about four hours and I haven't had a problem to speak of since then and it's been a couple of years. So I guess you learn as you go. At the beginning of every month I disconnect the Shield and leave it while I'm at work, disconnect and reset my modem and reset the wifi network. I've been doing this for a couple of years now and have experienced practically zero issues since implementing this regimen. By the way I've been using the same Shield streamer for three years now and if a problem occurs I just reboot it which takes about one minute and problem solved.
