For ANYONE having trouble with the fire remote not connecting and after having tried everything to fix it! Only for it to STILL not work!
All you need to do is connect the firestick to a Smart TV! Use the actual TV Remote to navigate thru the Firesticks menu. Erase the remote and re – pair it. If you don't have a Smart TV take it to a friend's house or someone you know that has a smart tv! And yes I've tried every single method advised by amazon tech support and on youtube, some remotes just did not pair until i did the smart tv remote trick!

Restarting the remote (You know it's restarted as the light is orange on any button press) then restarting the 4K fire stick until the remote pop-up comes up on the tv worked for me 👍
