I have the TiVo Google some of the third-party sites have been blocked. Tried to download the new kodi it went to the screen, but I was not able to click on anything to download it
Bro I consider myself the firestick king when it comes to knowing the firestick. So a friend called me to put a 3rd party app on her TV no problem at all I have done it before more than I can count. I get to her house she has a new fire TV and I can't find deveolper options in its normal location so I was pissed. Started to call amazon this week to find out how do I locate it. I won't have to do that now because of your video and now will be able to setup her app. Great content thank you.

Amazon will never block the ability to sideload 3rd party apps. The ability to enable the developer options menu is essential for developers to be able to test their apps on the device. They have hidden the feature, because the average consumer will never access it; they are the target audience.
I still have my Amazon devices, but have switched to MeCool KM2 devices which work flawlessly and aren’t as expensive as most others. The also are true Android TV devices. And no, Amazon will never get rid of the ability to install 3rd party apps. It would make the Firesticks as useless as Apple TV and ChromeCast.
