  1. Started with a Roku also. It crashed in about a month. During that time found out it definitely wasn't simple to load anything and not many choices anyway. Then went to a FireStick. Definitely easier to use and runs so much better and with channels like Curiosity Cafe definitely the best option.

  2. I solved my short space problem by using Roku and Firestick. Catch Roku on sale for $20 and all the standard apps you might run like, Peacock, Paramont, Tubi, HBOMax, etc, I have all installed on Roku. Then on my Fairestick I have anythiing I need to side load or ones that I want that you can't get on Roku like Kodi, a browser, etc. It solves the problem of running out of space on Firestick. Of course you could do the same thing with 2 Firesticks or like I have it now with 2 Roku TVs and then just plug in a Firestick.

  3. I cannot believe roku stock is doing well.
I have a roku TV and almost NEVER watch through roku.
I get that their valuation and their profits are all advertising based, but Prime is SO much better
    Prime has better native content.

The way things are laid out on roku screen is terrible and doesn;t even have the same quantity, much less the way it is organized.

    AND
I hate that roku has an IR remote and needs line of sight. Such a pain!

  4. As a longtime cable subscriber ($200 avg bill per month) and Amazon Prime member (another $15 per month) I tried to cut the cord but with Firestick, I still have to pay for apps like Netflix, Showtime, Peacock, HBO Max, Live TV, etc. So the question is, how does a Firestick save money?

  5. What’s next? As far as I can tell, Amazon has done everything they can to discourage third party applications and can only see it getting worse. I love your channel but maybe we need to learn about what we need for the future. I am afraid fire stick is eventually going to become just like Roku.

  6. The reason is roku is garbage 🗑 you get what you pay for .
With a fire 🔥 stick I can jailbreak it easy, jailbreak break means I'm in control not roku .
The best streaming device on the market is nivida sheild . For gaming of for thing else. I'm a cord cutters , and would never ever purchase roku
Again. I rather buy a apple 🍎 tv then a roku.

  7. About 2.5 yrs ago I bought a TCL 8 Series with Roku but way already invested in the Firestick. I looked at it as having the best of both worlds. The downside to both Roku and Firestick is that they both require internet so to alleviate that problem we also added live TV antennas on each of our TVs. If I lose internet for any reason (like during a storm), I still have about 60 local channels. This brings up the problem of the Roku Live TV. They've alienated a lot of their customers by changing the menus that were available to the end user. I simply wanted my local live TV channels in my Favorites list. That was good for a while then Roku changed that and now you have a LOT of unwanted channels in the Favorites list. I then edited out all of the unwanted channels from Favorites to only show my local live TV channels. Now Roku has forced a "Promoted" channel into my Favorites which cannot be removed. Complaints have fallen on deaf ears at Roku. I think they're bleeding profits and may soon go the way of the do-do bird. You've got to give the people what they want, not force them.

  8. I purchased a new large smart TV recently. At that time I never knew there was a difference between Roku, Android, Apple or FireTV.

I do have two FireSticks and was lucky that I purchased a FireTV. I’m so glad I did and I try and recommend FireTV to my friends.

  9. I enjoy having the ROKU channel on my fire stick and on my Samsung tv plus and I have a QUESTION about whether there is a way to select FAVORITE CHANNELS? When are that we have is the ALL CHANNELS only that’s a lot of uninteresting channels to have to scroll through all the time and I hope you know the procedure to manage Channels. Thank you for any suggestions you might have.

  10. If you're looking for a specific movie, show, etc, do you have to open every different app/service like disney+, Hulu, etc to find it? Or can you search or speak into the remote the title and it finds it for you in the appropriate platform?
