In our previous video we showed you how to install Downloader and then Kodi. The day after the video was made Amazon blocked Downloader from the Amazon App Store. Now you can still get APK files installed but you need to transfer them another way, like a Windows SMB Share.
Make sure you do this soon. Amazon is likely to block installs completely from the internal file manager as a next step to prevent sideloading (if they can.)

I'm getting reports the download folder has been removed by Amazon. I cannot confirm this, I still have it on mine and I'm on the latest software. We are currently investigating this. I have reached out to AFTV News. Last post these were the ways to get files into the Echo Show 15. From AFTVNEWS on my video – "The app Wireless File Manager can transfer files from a phone or PC to the Echo Show 15. The apps X-plore File Manager and File Manager for Fire TV can download files from cloud storage services. I already have downloader downloaded on my echo show 15. Will this effect it since it's already downloaded? It still seems to be working and the apps I side loaded seem to still be working too

Thanks for the video. I copied the apk file to ECHO's download folder, but the file did not start the installation process after I clicked it from the file manager. What could I be doing wrong? Is it being blocked somehow?
My built-in remote won't let me copy the file. Copy is greyed out. Do I need the actual remote?

Amazon removed opening the download folder with "Taotlus", it not appears after opening "Taotlus". Any help?
Any new solution found after installing the latest Amazon firmware? I can’t install an apk right now. My goal was to install Fully Kiosk.
Unfortunately I tried it and it didn't work for me. I can enter the local server and copy the folder, but from the Taotlus app, it does not create the folder for me to access. Solution please.

tried installing the same way but there is a new message "unable to install apps from unknown source".
