The team at Kodi Fire IPTV strongly suggests that you use a VPN at all times.
Be it for browsing, watching Kodi, watching IPTV or anything else – the one that we recommend is Hidden Router. They provide you with very fast speeds, that can reach over 400Mbps, and their VPN service is as low as $6 per month (when paid for 2 years)!

  1. Chris – thank you so much, this helped prevent the fire stick from going back to it's home screen and losing my place in a paused video. However, the screen saver still invokes – is there any way to disable the screen saver so the paused image just remains on the screen? I'm doing something specific where I want a particular image (part of a paused video) to remain on the screen so the screen acts as sort of a photo portrait. Thank you!

  2. Thank you so much for making such an easy to follow video!

Something of note, I followed the instructions for 0, but it still showed 1200000 (and changed the shell name from kara to mantis?) when I checked to see if it worked. So I tried a second time and used 2147460000, and it worked correctly.

  3. I am using an Ethernet adapter for the Firestick and I thought when it went to sleep it would lose Ethernet connection and I’d would have to reboot Firestick in order for it to see the Ethernet connection again. I did this and it still loses Ethernet connection after a period of time so I guess the sleep function isn’t causing this.

  4. Thank you, thank you. Definitely not easy to type on the remote but I got it done. I tried a few videos and I even reached out to Amazon and they gave me a link of a video that was a nightmare. So fingers crossed that this does work. Thank you for the time that you put into this. Greatly appreciated it.

  5. This did not work for my fire tv 4k Max second generation. Set the time out to 0 and made sure it saved per your instructions but it goes to ambient mode ( which is fine) but then goes to sleep after another 10 minutes or so and requires me to hit the middle button on the remote to wake up

  6. Mate…For 2nd generation Firesticks, given that at each restart or shutdown the commands sent with adb (see sleep), it would perhaps be appropriate to create an app that starts when the FireTV boots and that creates the commands not to send the FireTV in sleep mode…. a little idea. You have some news ?? Thank

  7. WHY can't Amazon just have a disable function for this…. or a timer that remembers what time you selected? It's so ridiculous. I can go to Settings -> Sleep Timer and set it to 180 minutes, but if I turn the TV off and back on again the timer goes back to 5 minutes. This is incredibly annoying when I need to pause what I'm watching for more than 5 minutes! I come back and have to turn the TV back on, go back into the app, select the show again, and restart it….. this is truly unacceptable. This should not require a Developer Options work-around or any third party apps. I'm going to leave a review for my TV. It's about time. I give it 2 stars.
