There were reportedly seven original ringleaders of Asgaard who were all arrested in a matter of weeks by authorities.Fast forward to 2022 and two more “ringleaders” of Asgaard were convicted of copyright offenses.The Rights Alliance published a press release on the situation and their CEO, Maria Fredenslund, stated the following:“The ringleader cases for Asgaard clearly illustrate that rights holders’ media content, film series, etc. are used to commit systematic, organized crime. For each completed case, a clearer picture emerges of how the people behind the file-sharing service organize themselves and what methods they use.
