I read this week in Jared Newman’s excellent Cord Cutter Weekly newsletter (check it out here: about his take on IPTV services. It largely tracks with my own experience and feelings about IPTV, and it reminded me that we should talk about it on this channel as well. So let’s do it! Hit me up in the chat with your thoughts as we go.

The team at Kodi Fire IPTV strongly suggests that you use a VPN at all times.
Be it for browsing, watching Kodi, watching IPTV or anything else – the one that we recommend is Hidden Router. They provide you with very fast speeds, that can reach over 400Mbps, and their VPN service is as low as $6 per month (when paid for 2 years)!
Grab your own Hidden Router and regain your online privacy now!

  1. Regarding the question about blocking side-loading on Android-based OSs such as Fire and Android/Google TV. I think, for many cases, they would loose their customer base if side-loading was blocked. One Android TV device I have, however, is the console that came with AT&T TV. It allows most Android TV apps from the Google Play store, but has blocked side-loading. I still use my NVIDIA Shield for most of my non-live viewing because there are a lot of side-loaded apps I use. We have the AT&T console because my wife still wants to have the cable TV experience and AT&T TV was our compromise.

  2. 1) You pick the right app with the interface or customizability option you want (it exist) so that it looks even better than anything else.

    2) Nobody needs to record because on the same device you got free VOD with most IPTV services and/or other free apps, so there is no point on recording.

    3) Reliability is not an issue if you pick the right service, the problem is that people don't know who to get service from and more often get burned.

    4) People's internet suck and they ALWAYS blame the IPTV service, they don't understand that the free apps are such crappy SD quality that it can run on 5mbps lol For high quality HD feeds, you need 20mbps or higher. I know a service sold by people who can connect to your box remotely, run tests for you, set up the service, fix problems and provide incredible support. The problem is that they are near impossible to find because they are super low key in order to stick around for their customers.

    5) Nobody wants to hack your $10.00 android box.
