In this video I show how to record IPTV with TiviMate on the Firestick, Fire TV, NVIDIA Shield, Android TV Boxes, phones, and tablets.

I will show how to record via USB OTG on the Fire TV Stick.

I also demonstrate how to record to LAN attached device such as Windows PC, Plex NAS, Mac, and Linux computers.

TiviMate allows for scheduling IPTV recordings and also provides customizations that allow you to unleash the true power of your IPTV service.

In this video I assume that you’ve already installed TiviMate IPTV Player per my setup video that can be found here –

  1. I watch everything from a recording. I am trying to find an iptv service that has catch up or preferably a dvr service (cloud). I looked at your webpage with iptv services. You have about 15 there and you list most of them as having catchup. I have contacted half of them at this point and they all are saying they have no catchup. And many of them really don't answer many of my typical 4 questions. Are there any iptv services that have catchup or dvr? Most of the content I watch would work with say 3 or 7 days. Any ideas where to go? I am not talking about youboobtv, sling etc. I had Playstation Vue until they gave it up and I was very happy with them. Too bad they are gone.

  2. Great Tutorial! I have one question: I setup my flash drive with a Tivimate directory just like you did with the file xplorer. I confirmed that that the flash drive had the almost complete 64GB. When I tried a scheduled recording and a custom recording, it just recorded 1 minute and stopped. Am I missing a step somewhere int he process? Thanks!

  3. I have tivimate premium installed but I cannot point my recordings folder to either the external storage I have installed or the plex server I have also attempted to install. I have followed your video (very good by the way) step by step but it is not working. What have I missed?

  4. Grest video. I have setup this up to my synology NAS. I am guessing as firestick is connected to TV, if TV is off, it won't be able to record? Is there a way that I can enable the TV to power on or be in standby for the firestick to record the show? thanks

  5. @Troy Awesome video for Recording in Tivimate. I have a question Please? I noticed that I was trying to record on my Firestick with the New 2021 version 3.5 and of course wireless, I noticed now when Recording is going on and you change to another channel, it's starts to do Alot of repeating and jumping. But on the previous version of Tivimate it worked perfectly! Do you have or know of a solution to this?
    Thank you so much.

  6. You are a great help showing how to setup Tivimate. I have a SuperBox SP Pro 2 with my Lacie 1TB drive hooked up to it. My only issue is when setting the path for recordings is when I go to the Lacie folder it will not access the subdirectories. I setup a Tivimate folder on the Lacie drive on my PC before hooking it to my SuperBox. What am I missing here? Xplorer file manager does not see the Lacie drive.

  7. I have a MeCool KM6 with 64 GB internal storage. I found that trying to record on this device doesn't work well. It never records the full 60 mins of an episode, sometimes only 2 mins. So I attached an external hard drive and now it records and entire program. Just seems strange That I couldn't use the internal storage.

  8. I have TiviMate up and running, but I cannot record because I cannot
create a directory under Android on the USB drive. I'm using a UGreen
USB 3.0 Hub Ethernet Adapter and Sandisk 128GB USB 3.1 flash drive. It
is FAT32. I've tried different file managers, but no go with directory
    creation.

  9. Can you shed light as to why all my attempts to record one hour shows only record about 20mins? I have 5 connections through my IPTV supplier. Also, I am using Ubuntu 20.4 file server with Samba. Any thoughts will be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

  10. Very informative but I do have a question. I pointed Tivimate to my WD My Cloud NAS. Tivimate only records a bit of the program, up to 9 minutes of what should be an hour recording. But if I point Tivimate to a USB drive attached to the Firestick, then it records just as it should. I don't think the NAS needs Plex for simply recording TV shows? Should I try a different NAS or am I missing something when using the My Cloud NAS?

  11. Used your tutorial and it works but I am having one issue. In my testing I am finding that often a recording shows it only recorded for 5 minutes (example) but then continues to play after that time mark. The issue with this is I am unable to FF or RW after that time mark. To rule out a connection usage error I recorded during a time when none of my 4 connections were being used. My setup is as yours in the video with a 128 3.0 USB with an OTG cable. Any other ideas to troubleshoot or could this be a bug within TiViMate?

  12. Hello
I have my 1gb usb hard drive attached to my fire tv cube.
It shows up in my My Fire tv section and I can download apps and transfer apps to and from the hard drive.
But when I follow your instructions and install the x plore app, the USB drive is not showing up. All that it shows is the
    Internal shared storage and Root
The Android/USB does not show up like in your video instructions.
    PLEASE HELP

  13. Hi I’m having trouble recording with tivimate most recordings that I play back start at the end of the show and I’m unable to rewind them to the start of the recording and other times it says it’s been recorded for 20 hours when the show was only an hour long I paid for tivimate premium and an external hard drive to record my iptv and I can’t do that so I feel like I’ve just wasted my money if there is any way to fix this issue please let me know
