some people are saying that he only won because of his disability. that is true. He won because his disabilities made it much harder for him to learn how to play piano and sing that well. He had to overcome way more obstacles than your regular piano player. Like yeah, some people are better at piano and singing than him, but they didnt have to learn how to play while being blind and autistic. its not entirely about the skill level, its also about the obstacles you had to face to achieve that skill level. It would be no different if it was a one legged drummer, the person would have to spend way more time and effort figuring out how to play the instrument in a way that it is not normally played.
