Didn’t work for me. Now my firestick wont work
I had a remote that stopped working today. Changed batteries and nothing worked. This video then popped up on my phone. (How strange) followed your video. Restarted firestick, then put batteries in remote. I then pressed a button on remote to confirm still nothing but wow it worked. I did not have to go through the home button holding section. Thank you very very much. Saved me going to buy another remote. I do have one that done the same a while ago and I replaced the remote. Will try resetting it tomorrow to see if I brought a remote for no reason. But thanks

Thanks Doc! It worked. I changed batteries twice and discarded new batteries thinking they were dead. After doing this my remote works again.
although a good walk through the only thing that helped me has non of the above worked for some reason the way i did it was to download the software fire stick remote on mobile then add remote from fire stick off mobile remote app

My firestick keeps rebooting on its own while I'm watching a programme. I've taken out stick and reset myself but still continues to periodically reboot. Is this a remote issue or firestick? Help
