In this video, we will take a look at the Onn. Streaming Stick, which costs less than $15 and how it compares to the Amazon Fire TV Stick Lite. Amazon is planning to release Firesticks and Fire TV devices with their own software instead of Android. This means sideloading Fire TV devices may not be possible anymore. Over the next few weeks, I will explore other alternatives.

  1. I have the ONN 4K box. From day one, have had absolutely no problems, great picture and sound, no updates changing things around, it's reliable, fast, and can be formatted just like the Firestick with my own background, widgets, apps and still have plenty of space left for more. I would easily recommend this over a stick for the extra $5.00.

  2. Fantastic information … as ever … Tanya. β™₯β™₯β™₯ As one of your other viewers has stated, Walmart, apparently, have decided to give up on the onn. Stick and are concentrating on the onn. 4K Google Android TV Box … as well as others. πŸ˜‰

  3. I’ve always loved my Fire Tv to be honest, currently have 2 Fire TV cubes but I despise Amazon as a company and don’t much like the direction of travel with their Fire TV offerings so am beginning to consider alternatives. Like you I’m in the UK and have seen a couople of these ONN devices and would like to try one out but as you say P&P prohibits it. Good video this, very clearly presented, thank you.

  4. I own two Firesticks and two FireTV cubes. Give Amazon’s blocking the ADB command necessary for apps such as the mouse toggle and the real possibility that Amazon will block sideloading in the future, I will never buy a FireTV device ever again.

While storage is limited on the Onn, you can easily add extra storage by employing an OTG cable and a USB flash drive.

It beats the Fire TV devices hands down because Onn does not block the use of the developer option to use ADB commands which many apps such as the mouse toggle depends. You can also sideload a custom launcher to avoid intrusive ads and to customize your experience.

  5. no more Fire TV Stick 4K max… for me Amazon are taking the piss every year bring a new device out there is no need for it moving to Android now… Amazon are getting too greedy for money Google don't do this every year we are getting scammed by Amazon
