ADB debugging is still there after my update, but I received a "connection failure" message when i tried App Killer earlier today.
Final straw. I’ve bought my last fire tv device. Which is a shame after all these years.

They're getting sued for apps that shouldn't be used.They are forced to block them so studios don't go after them for money.I knew the day was going to come for some things.These companies are desparate.They love to play Monoply.Good luck cause devices will be evolving soon then those devices will out smart them.Give it some time for new change for the customers.

It should not be their product after being bought. Once you buy it, you should be able to do what the hell you want to do with it. I can guarantee they will lose a lot of sales.
They also getting pinged by content companies (And they are also a content company) and they are slowly making it so you wont be able to use IPTV and fully use Kodi etc.
GET ONN it is BETTER ANYWAY it unbelievably much better than FIRESTICK period. Everybody should stop with FIRESTICKS .Show WHAT A BIG MISTAKE THEY ARE DOING.

I submitted reviews this morning for both the App Killer and Cache cleaner, let's see if they post either – > TDUK APP Killer is a great app before Amazon blocked ADB with a forced UPDATE so it no longer works on my Firesticks! I purchased this App on Jan 27, 2024.
I have 1 Fire Stick 4 K Max 2nd gen with oS 8.03 & ABD Debugging can be turned on & Install Unknown Apos is enabled.
My Amazon buying days are over……lining up Android boxes to buy …MeCool…..Buzz TV……etc etc
Debugging is still on. You just cannot connect to it so your apps will not open.
If you don't ditch your FireStick devices after watching this video, then you deserve what you get. I ditched my FireStick devices over a year and a half ago for the NVIDIA Shield Pro. Never had a problem since.
Time to ditch their damm Firesticks NVIDIA Sheild is the way to go
How do you stop Firestick from updating?
The ADB debugging is still there but you can't connect to the TDUK apps to clear the cache or close apps anymore.
If I go very long without updating, I end up with it anyhow, have no choice, it automatically gets installed.
I think the way to go is a mini computer.
In the UK these apps are no longer available – even if you'd bought them. (You can find them but it says that they're not compatible with your device).
Strangely though you can still use Remote ADB on another device (e.g. Android phone) – it's only local ADB that is blocked by the new update. (And it is local ADB that TDUK's apps and other such apps use). So their comment re. improving security is utter bullocks.
Is just me or have they blocked mouse toggle?😢
The way Amazon is going peeps will abandon it and get Nvidia shields or Android boxes.
