Well i am using a firestick lite and i am thinking of upgrading to the max just for the emulation aspect
They are now just taking the ** with MICRO USB no sale.
They could of added 4gb RAM USB C and one usb A… I don't understand why these companies won't listen to customers.. Its a $30 device not $60.
And unless you really need it, never pay full retail for an Amazon device, they always go on sale.

No USBC in 2023 is a completely joke. I stopped watching as soon as i heard. No point in making this micro besides creating more e waste. What a dissappint, a world where apple phones have USB-C and yet amazon cant add the port to one of their most popular devices. Disappointing, but totally not unexpected, its Amazon.
You can also stream Android TV from a PC to Television with HDMI Cable, if you program a Android TV from Android Studio. It is firstly time and you can't do it twice, because you can do whatever you want. You can save your money or download a Android Studio and program the Android TV on your PC TV Desktop.

It just goes to show hoe cheap a device can be to adopt HDR10+ and Dolbyvision, which begs the question of why so many other cheaper and even medium range devices cannot offer the same facilities. It seems very cheap to licence.
No specific mention of AV1 decoding, although other reviews seem to indicate that it does exist with this new model.

They have had so much time to close the gap between the fire stick and the Nvidia Shield. In late 2023, It would have been nice to see this be at least 80% as powerful as the shield at its $60 price point. That would have a nice sweet spot.

Android TV Boxes are no longer the hot items they once were, and with Amazon's insistence of always limiting the specs/features of their Fire TV devices, I'd just get a decent mini PC and connect it to the TV. You'd have decent specs depending on the device, you can get them from a variety of brands and prices, and you'd have another computer/gaming machine if need be. I think I'm about done investing in Amazon devices, but that's just me.🤷🏿♂️
Nearly all the content I watch is in 1080p and below and the only thing that I care about from these devices is how well they handle upscaling.

This is the way to go on beefing up your TV. I disabled the default smart TV hub of my 77" LG C2 TV and just made the Amazon 4K Max Firestick as my default smart hub. 👍
