To Closedown all apps and services use the command below:
pm list packages | sed -e “s/.*://” | while read package; do am force-stop $package; done
To Closedown System Services Only use the command below:
pm list packages -s | sed -e “s/.*://” | while read package; do am force-stop $package; done
To Closedown 3rd Party Apps use the command below:
pm list packages -3 | sed -e “s/.*://” | while read package; do am force-stop $package; done

Chris, at 9:35 you mentioned typing in a “-s” before the vertical line, but no “-s” appears on the sample text on the screen. Am I missing something? Thanks!

Although it appears to close apps down it doesn't look like it actually closes running apps, unlike force stop. I only tried the 3rd party apps command, couldn't type all 3 commands because was losing the will to live 😂

It would be great if you could create a batch file of sorts that could be launched from an icon in the apps tray.
