I did a factory reset. had to play around with it to get to the menu to let me do a factory reset. I had all 5 of mine have this problem. After I factory reset them all, no problems at all. Must have been something Amazon did on one4 of their updated. June 2023 was when I had the problem also.
INSANE. Commenters are disgustingly suggesting BUYING ANOTHER stick! You buy me another stick, please. Unbelievable you would defend and accept a company bricking your device! This happened to 2 of Firesticks. After watching this video I was able to move this Stick to the main floor where the router is and it’s working fine
This is the 2nd time this has happened to me in the last 2 months. I just got off the phone with Amazon. She said that in order to not be charged for a new one (mine is still under warranty) that I would have to send this one back to them within 30 days. I don't trust whomever would handle it. So I won't do that unless I can factory reset it.
BTW, I used a USB that was formatted to my Fire Stick. I can't get it to show on my laptop (I assume because if the type of format). Do you know if it's possible to retrieve that stuff on there if I have to get a new Fire Stick?

Had prob with 4K a few times, switched power off for 1 minute then it seemed to fire up ok. No problems for the last two weeks. Great informative vid as always. Thank you
This has never happened to me I’ve been useing 2x fire sticks and I use them everyday never had this problem

Thank you! This is the most honest and helpful post I’ve found in weeks concerning the matter. When I pulled up my purchase today it said I could do a return by Dec. 23rd. Sadly, the option to return the item quickly became a useless detour to the Amazon Community Forum where I wondered around lost with others in the same boat. Not good practice, Amazon. They need to make this right…

I got one that's stuck on updating approximately ten minutes

I found out it was the mousetoggle was the issue. They said it needed to be updated but I just removed the app.
This happened to niece stick 2nd generation in mint condition only used for prime and Disney z f all of a aussen stopped working stuck on logo tried every troubleshoot tricks but nothing so I had to bin it and not gonna bother getting another one just watch it on smart tv.

Had this issue. Amazon were no help as they said my stick was 3 years old. Tough, I would have to buy a new one. Went and bought a Android TV box instead!

Im in the United States i had just turned on my tv and instead of being stuck on the logo im stuck on the update screen. Ive had it on for almost 2 hours and my update bar hasnt even moved.
I never got a firestick. I've got 4 old school fireboxes before they stopped selling them. I have not had a problem yet, but I did lose Wi-Fi a few times and had trouble connecting.

[UPDATE] OK I Have A Different Question… So I Took Out The USB Storage (because usb was needed because of lack of space for updates smh) As soon as I Took out The USB The FireTV Logo Stopped and It Went Straight To Regular Apps etc. (obviously sum apps are on usb) but ones like music is working perfectly…so New Question Would Be Why and What To Do? Because When I Inserted The USB Again… It Went Right Back To Logo Looping and Yes I Tried It Again Just To Make Sure It Wasnt a Fluke and It Wasnst. Thank U Again in Advance.
Yes this happened to 2 of my Firesticks one I just bought in May was still under warranty so they sent me a new one at no cost. The other was not under warranty so I just bought another one & will trade the stuck one in in the future. 😡 Thanks for the information.

I have two firetv devices. It stopped working on one tv. I moved my other device to that same tv and the next day, that one stopped working!

Amazon as my experience has got the worst customer service in the history of the world you can never get any of them to do anything don't matter how much you kiss their butt they're going to send you a contact number to get to Japanese airline or some silly crap like that anything that can possibly do to appease you for 2 seconds to get you off the line so you can go be angry with the next person because they didn't want to do their job

I even tried hooking it up to my pc to see if I could fix it, but like you said, it crashes so early to where I can't even analyze anything and try to fix it. My Firestick just crashed during the update. It’s a second generation, five yrs old. I’ve gone through all the usual fixes of unplugging, rebooting, changing ports, etc. It’s as dead as a door nail.

Even after years in the EU, first I've heard a WIFI Router pronunced "ROOTER". I eventually got used to hearing most R's lost to AH.. but don't think I could ever handle U's to O. I think I just need to go get my torch and find a buiscuit in the dark.
