  2. As for Costco I dropped my membership because the $1500 annual I spent on cat food and litter was on brands they no longer carry (food was changed to boutique sized premium cans, or house brand). You don't change willy nilly the cat food, their digestive system goes amuck. So I have to drive the same'ish distance and entirely different direction to their competition where the prior hit all the clubs was 150% the mileage and I have more selection where I stayed (I live in a rural area and everything is far away)

  3. Going after users never worked as people who pirate can’t afford to pay any fines and putting kids, disabled people and grandmothers in prison is bad for business. I predict piracy will grow massively because we are in a global recession

  4. These corporate greedy networks are destroying cord cutting. Not only are they getting stupid with their prices but they are playing the "share the wealth" game by selling their content to other streaming services so they have content so now if you want a wide variety of content you have to pay for multiple streaming services. I am now paying just as much as a full cable package because of this crap. So, cord cutting savings, GONE!

  5. The only real criminals are the big companies ripping there customers of they prey on the vulnerable by giving them an amazing sign up deal without telling them the price will go up 3 to 6 months by like 200% the war won't ever end I'm afraid if it did amazon would lost billions a year

  6. An ad before a video is kind of annoying but I can put up with it. What I can't stand – and why I use an ad blocker on my PC- are the ads stuck at arbitrary places within a video. It's infuriating. Do they really think interrupting a fifteen minute video with three commercial breaks is going to inspire me to buy ANY of the products advertised? The anwser is NO.

  7. Yeah, it's too bad for cable companies. I don't feel bad for them. How about cutting down on how much you pay your CEO's than you dont have to worry about piracy. It's ok for cable companies to overcharge customers with bad services & unnecessary bundles, but cry fouls when people start to wise up. In 21st century no matter the country you live in, Tv/cable should be the cheapest utility available.! Screw cable company. I cut my cord few years ago no regret, just got tired of paying $200 per month for garbage channels. I enjoy my job with plenty of overtime, which leaves me with less time to watch Tv. Also, if you want to save 💵 buy an indoor/outdoor antenna you can have a lot of HD local channels.

  8. Usenet never went away. Nor did torrents. The more they make it hard to access content, the more incentive there is for people to come up with ways around the problem. It’s funny how pirated content is often easier to watch than the official stuff because of their terrible interface.

  9. If there was a option for $50-75 a month that could access all of the streaming services, including archives, no pulled content I would pay for it. As is, I have the skinny package in Canada, and only the streaming version from Bell. They force me to pay for 25 channels so I can pay a extra fee and get the only channels I want from the old 'cable' packages, 5 news channels like CNN and CBC Newsworld. I would rather pay for just the news, it is what it is. I gave up around 2 years ago dealing with ad blockers on Youtube and have Premium where I spend 95% of my video watching time. As for the first point, they will NEVER merge all their services into a single pay system like one of those magazine subscription sites.
