  14. They already do this on their Fire tablets and you can't stop it. What's going to stop them from implementing it on your fire stick? Pisses me off when they connect to my WiFi to do updates even when I have WiFi and automatic updates turned off.

  20. I'm surprised that people buy an obviously branded and arguably a device that gives hosted content and then worry about suggested content, advertising and of course information gathering which is how Amazon sells the device it at such a low price…?

    Surely you would buy an Android TV box or other autonomous device if you want to keep your data safe.?
    Just my opinion.

  25. Its showing that All4 AND ITVX is mallacioues, but my virus total is showing them as safe, I also did a virus check with Avast which showed that All4 is mallacioues and should be deleted which one should I trust or are they showing as false flags

  31. Hey Doc, thanks for the info. I am having a problem I wonder if anybody else is having this problem. The stick doesn't boot or anything, I get the amazon logo and that's it. I have tried everything , hold home button, directional right plus reverse or back button. unplug everything, wait 12 hours,, new batteries, change hdmi change tv , I WONDER IF i have to scrap this thing, any help would be appreciated.
