One of the limitation of the Amazon Firestick is limited storage. You only get about 8GB of storage. But you can increase your Firestick’s storage using a USB Drive. Here is how.

very nice video, clear and useful.
Where do I get the cord
Great
I am very interested but I have not the voice USB on the My Fire menu, can you help me?
Thank you. This was very helpful.
Can I run installed app from usb drive using another identical fire stick? Or do I have to reinstall them all over?
Most helpful. Thank you.
Due to your accent I am totally unable to understand those instructions…. I've replayed it many times and still parts of this are for me not clear ENGLISH. Sadly I will have to try elsewhere.
I don't have the USB drive option it doesn't work
Before I buy the setup, can you confirm if apps installed on the usb drive can be used directly from internal storage without lag, buffering and so on? Or do we have to keep moving apps around from usb to stick and back?
Second question- I bought the setup because I figured I'm going to anyway, and I followed your instructions. The usb stick storage doesn't show up under my fire tv. In fact my menu options are different than yours. I bought my 4k stick 1.5 years ago. I tested two usb sticks that both work in my computer. Nothing. Can you please explain how to set up internal storage in more detail by first explaining how to make the usb stick show up?
Thanks! This seems to be the simplest method! Ill
Update this comment if works when i try it👍
My problem is I have tried to add a SansDisk 32gb drive to my 3 tv's with Firesticks. The oldest of the 3 recognizes the USB stick, but the other 2 do not recognize it. They are all formatted in FAT32. What could I be missing?
Just bought the cable and a thumb drive and have watched this video several times. Either you are leaving some details out that are important or there is a breakdown in communication. The part where you go to “manage installed applications” is where you are able to move the app. I’ve checked every app on my fire stick and none of them have the option to move to external storage. Guess I’ll watch other videos and find all the directions.
If I put Kodi on my USB as internal, how do i launch kodi in order to work. Right now it won't work
Is it possible to use the pendrive both to send applications and files, both together? no need to format for external memory? I thought I could merge the two memories and form just one, right?
Awesome! I'm upgrading all my firesticks with USB adapters after seeing this! We have a lot of movies that aren't on any of the stream services anymore
So basically even if I get more storage I still can't download anymore apps once my firestick is full??
but this cable does not support 4K playback
So I can't do this with a normal firestick?
Make sure you have at least a 3.0 flash drive
Thank you and I need more help, I have done everything as you have outlined but I need to know how I can go into an apk, and download a movie directly into the external storage. Can you help with this? Step by step, please.
