This new remote is a welcome upgrade from the Fire tv remote 3rd generation and looks like it brings some great new features. Only button 1 and 2 are customizable. The 4 buttons will be hard coded.
Where and when do these go on sale?
$35 is very expensive for a remote control, for less than $20 you can buy a remote control with mappable buttons and most important to me, an Air Mouse.

But for $35 bucks you can get a new fire stick !with remote!! even though it will not be new version! eventually i bet Amazon changes prices and include this with new cube at lower price!

Why would I spend more money separately on a remote. It's bad enough amazon is living in the 2000s with their outdated upgrade on the 3rd gen cube.
More is not always better.
I have multiple FireTV remotes in the house and frankly I'm more fond of the remotes with fewer buttons.
All I really need is the select button, directional wheel and up/down volume. Almost any command not covered by those, I just do by voice.
Having tons of buttons on the remote just makes it harder to find the buttons I do use because all those buttons I don't need are cluttering the remote.
More is less… am I the only person who doesn't want more buttons on the remote?

You are looking at the US site, the 4 buttons will be hard coded to the relevant services in the U.K. or US.
I just bought the latest Fire Stick because we dropped Direct Tv and started streaming YouTube TV. We like it so far but the only thing I don’t like is we have to go back to the channel guide menu to change the channel. It looks like this pro remote give you an option now to scroll through the channels without going to the guide menu. Am I correct ?
because my remote is messed up now because I dropped it many times and broke in and goes by itself but every time I press the button it's giving me crazy couple of days couple of months now I have to buy one like this one because I like it now I like giving new remote is different style button now it is at Best buy that sell it at Best buy now I think it's still 25 bucks at Best buy or is it not is 30 bucks for it because I am using remote on my phone now because is broken it goes crazy by itself every time I press each button
Every time I fall asleep on the bed remote always falls to the floor and it messed up the opponent inside with the remote that's why it's broken some button I hate plastic remote
