Thanks brother
Great video and very informative
Thanks Chris. I’d do with out the HD channels any day, if they gave Back the lost channels. On a decent TV you can hardly notice the difference in HD or SD anyway.
fference if you have HD channels I dont
I expect this device is only for the UK and not for Republic of Ireland.
Very interesting video but am I missing something here? If you do decide to use the internet service on the BT Box Pro and lose the channels you mentioned, then why can't you just switch your TV input to aerial to get those missing channels if you want to watch them? Or am I completely confused?
Although you do get extra hd channels when watching in internet mode, you can only record two channels at the same time. Through the aerial you can record up to 4 channels at once.
Tempted to get this service if/when Talking Pictures launches as a Freeview streaming channel.
I would miss the channnels as I watch Blaze a lot
Interested in getting one of these boxes but BT only sell them with a package on their website. I see some websites are selling the box for £129 but will you still be able to see all the freeview channels on WiFi mode without an aerial? I have BT broadband.
Chris I got the bt tv box before the aerial free internet mode but I have tried to operate it this way but I have not managed it yet, do I have to do a factory reset to use this facility which would loose my recordings I have tried turning the box off removing the aerial and rebooting but that didn't work do you have to connect via ethernet instead of WiFi for it to work.
Thanks
I’ve not had an aerial for 5 years and only used the apps. I’ve ordered this BT Box as is the ideal solution. Most of the missing channels can be watched on the UK TV play app including Dave.
Getting my BT tv pro box tomorrow, no aerial anywhere near my TV at all so no choice for me. Gutted I won't have Dave to record. I know I can get it on an app, but not as convenient.
Hope they update it over time and add it via the internet mode.
I have had a bad experience with BT boxes the one I got just is a laggy mess this is coming from someone who had the original and now they are trying to be Xbox
I don’t get the full freeview line up in my area through the aerial, so I actually get a few extra channels with the BT Pro Box through the internet connection.
Sky Stream is now available and offers most of the channels you get on Sky 70% channels than what you can get on BT TV. You don’t need to join Sky Glass, Sky stream puck is the service without the TV
when will you be able to record more than 2 channels?
