  1. Cardinals have been doing that crap for years , bout time baseball looked into it !
Remember what happened to Tony Conigliero , ended his career getting hit in the head .
Alonso showed unbelievable restraint , sportsmanship and class by just going to first .

  2. Cardinals fan here.

This is irritating to watch. Alonso did NOTHING but shake it off and jog to first (props/respect/etc). Everyone else was either getting ready to scrap or stoking it. The ump goes into oh-shit mode, both teams start to come out, even the announcer is trying to paint it into Alonso "getting up MAD". I didn't see that at all. Dude took his HBP, looked up, saw Whitley fuming at himself, clearly figured out it was not in any way intentional, and jogged it.

Motherfuckers need to stop trying to start shit.

  3. Major League baseball needs to have severe punishment for pictures who throw on purpose at the head and second Major League baseball needs to become more advanced and have really good helmet protection with a screen it made me electronics for the batter and his helmet

  4. If a pitcher hits a batter with a ball it should be an automatic 20 game suspension. I would be a year salary that the amount of hit by pitches goes down substantially. If you are a repeat offender it goes up by 10 games per hit. These pitchers do this on purpose and try to sound like they do it on accident.

  5. MLB has to make some important decisions if they're capable. A rule that would eject a pitcher for hitting one batter or two close pitches would determine if close pitches were intentional or a control problem. Maybe those that make the rules should have a couple of 100 mph fastballs thrown at their heads. Hockey goalies have pucks hit there heads less than baseball batters do and they have full headgear to protect them.

  6. That helmet needs a design update. When you shrug your shoulders as a defensive response to a ball coming towards your head, the face guard acts as a lever to remove your helmet. He was about a half second away from the pitch hitting the side of his skull. I'm pretty sure the engineers didn't intend for this to happen.
