There are a lot of Christians who use devices to stream free cable. The question I want to raise in this video is, “should Christians be doing that?” This is an issue of integrity which is the point of this video. So, if you know anyone who may be using these devices to stream free cable, please share this video with them.

  1. I know I'm going to make A LOT of people mad with this video, but it needed to be said. This may or may not apply to you but I hope you get the overall idea of what I'm trying to communicate with this video and apply it to your life. Also, feel free to share this video with someone who NEEDS to see it :). Okay, I'd love your thoughts below.

  2. Brother Allen,
Thank you for doing this type of video – i believe this is something that was needed to be covered. I was once a person who tried to do everything ā€œfreeā€, but i now walk a different path – i still slip up now and then but i am improving and walking away from my past bad habits.

I do want to ask this question though – Youtubeā€¦. It is a free service and as far as i know there is no payment to be made unless using the upgraded services.
But, on here, people have posted videos, in part or full, complete movies. Does this video that would have just spoken about, also cover this platform? Should we use YouTube, a site that is free, to watch films?

P.s – There is a section i found for watching films (doesnā€™t look like a random user uploading it type of situation) that says is free but with ads – is this allowed? I am not sure if YouTube has partnered with the filmmakers to do this or not – but what do you think brother Allen? (Or any brother or sister who wishes to comment)

    Thank you,
    Gerard

  3. The real issue even beyond this that Christians have no business paying for these services since they are supporting Hollywood which is satanic. Christians should not go to movies, rent movies, watch movies or theatrical TV shows. All of these movies and TV shows are filled with sinful behavior and it's sinful for the actors to be acting out all these wicked things so when you watch movies and shows you are getting entertainment and pleasure from people sinning against God. This is a major problem that modern Christians are so blind to.

Christians will defend their movie watching with all sorts of accuses and bad arguments and they won't be willing to give these things up. This shows that their idol is being kicked and they need to repent. For 1000s of years many in the Christian church has opposed theater and acting in and of it self regardless of content.

It seems that in out days of great apostasy and declension hardly any ministers are willing to take a stand against these shows and movies which are highly esteemed among men and thus an abomination in the sight of God Luke 16:15.

"Christian" movies do not get a pass from this. They are filled with leaven and are very unbiblical also.

  4. Thank you for this. Several years ago, I was convicted about Christian mix tapes I had made in the 80's from friends' albums (Boomer here), so I went online and bought all the individual songs for 99 cents apiece. Long overdue, but I felt so much better after I felt like I had done the right thing.

  5. A "friend" shared her passwords with me and assured me it was OK. Thank God she's not my friend anymore and changed her passwords. Those channels are a huge time-suck anyway. Use that time to work on your mind, body and spirit. If you need something to watch/listen to while you're cooking healthy meals or exercising, YouTube is free.

  6. every filipino must watch this since we have habit of getting free on paid services by hacking
and im not doing this anymore since it Give lot of Risk
any pc gamers wouldnt not recommend cracks

    but andriod Root is legal
    But iphone jailbreak is illegal
this Video make sense to us
cracks are just like stealing the hardwork of those who did the service or creator and it gives them disrespect.
its not recommend for a crack since it has a virus even you dont know where. and crack some softwares is just like stealing

  7. It is illegal, not immoral.. It is against mans law, not God's law.. Not a sin in any way shape or form… Yeah yeah yeah, thow shall not steal.. If it is the property of a corporation and not a person…those that sit on the board of directors deserve to have everything taken from them… I could care less about robbing a worldwide conglomerate… That is ripping its customers off by charging outrageous prices for their services.. And then they raise their prices the longer you are a customer.. It should be the other way around… This so called sin you are talking about, is nothing compared to most things I've done… All you do gooders and devout religious followers.. You will be right next to me in Hell.. And I will swallow your soul… Nobody in this day n age is deserving of Paradise.. You can live your entire life and consider yourself lucky to meet just a single person that will see heaven…

  8. Brother Allen, thank you for this wonderful video. It is a very important topic, whether big stealing or small stealing, stealing is stealing, and it's a sin capable of destroying us. I downloaded some Christian songs from YouTube for personal use using a downloading app. if this is stealing then I will destroy them and will not download again, your thoughts. thanks

  9. Honestly I never been convicted about it but I do totally understand, before I even watched the holy spirit kinda broke it down quickly like if you created it would I want or mind someone stealing it from me,and you said the exact same thing šŸ˜„šŸ˜„ so thanks for enlightenment even though sometimes we don't wanna hear it šŸ™„šŸ™„ it is true, love you brother ā¤

  10. In the old days you bought an AM radio and what it pulled in you listened to.

A computer of course is different because when you buy one you are able to pull in about everything.
I bought a box that can pull in everything.
Let the Holy Spirit instruct you what to watch and what not to watch. Amen.

  11. You kept saying it in this video, but this video truly gave me a wake up call; not stupid at all! I suppose God was guiding me because I kept reluctantly downloading books for free and watching movies/TV shows on those websites that have it for free and having ADHD, itā€™s hard to organize all of my thoughts and counter thoughts against those thoughts without writing it down and I forget to do that. This seems simple when you say it but for me, I really had too many thoughts to realize that it was as simple as that: 1. Illegal, 2. unethical, 3. stealing. Thank you so much, brother Allen! I needed this video.

  12. A variant of this that bothers me is using a VPN to bypass regional restrictions. For example, to watch a show that is restricted to another country, such as some BBC programs, by making you computer look like it is located in that country.

  13. For all of you saying that itā€™s stealing how is it stealing if itā€™s being given out for free to the masses how is watching a music video on YouTube for free any different than me taking a sample of something at Costco for free that was given out freely by a distributorā€¦ We live in a world now where streaming pays the artist more than a paid download thereā€™s no basis in scripture saying something for free is stealing and considers it a sinā€¦

  14. You're completely wrong on this one, Allen! Violating copyright laws is NOT stealing, nor is it similar to stealing. In reality, they are violating YOUR property rights by telling you what you can and can't do with what you own.
But what is stealing? If I have a candle, and you light your candle with my flame, did you steal? Of course not. I still have all the fire I could ever want. But if you take my candle, I don't have any fire.
Stealing is only stealing when you deprive someone of something. If a copy is made of a digital work, then the original remains.
God lays out a consistent pattern in scripture – he forbids usury and sexual immorality, he discourages both borrowing and lending. He hates dishonest scales. On the contrary, he commands his people to give generously without interest. He tells us to care for the orphan and the widow. He commands us to leave the gleanings in our field for the foreigner and the poor man.
Copyright laws are evil, because they violate the ethic God has given us in scripture. There is nothing virtuous about depriving others of something you can give them without cost, no, but we are to be generous even when it is costly! How much more wicked is it to enlist the sword of the government to punish people who are doing you no harm at all?
To address the last point… "do you have peace about it?" I think this is a bad question, because there are huge teams of lawyers dedicated to poisoning the well. You can't think clearly about this because you've been lied to since birth. Have you ever hewrd Republicans and Democrats argue about copyright or patent law? No. The Cathedral has ordained that IP laws INCREASE so that freedom DECREASES. Every time Micjey Mouse is about to enter Public Domain, Disney buys a new law and copyright is extended.
In reality, if you are at peace with the way things are, you are in error. God wants us to share. He wants us to share even if it is costly, all the more so if it costs nothing. God hates people who reap their fields and leave nothing for the poor and the foreigner. He despises crooked scales. He hates greed and covetousness. All of these things are the backbone of IP law, which is designed not to worship God but to hurt people.
In a recent interview you did with an "adult film star" turned Christian evangelist, you heard him tell you about how he was paid $1000 to do something utterly demeaning and the director of the movie went on to make $100 million. Now, no one should have been making money off of this to begin with (and I would condemn torrenting that kind of media, for a different reason!), but it's an excellent illustration of the point. Downloading that movie for free doesn't hurt anyone but the villain who abused and tricked people. It's the same racket in the music world. You think the musician is making money selling records? The label has to be paid first. Then the marketing firm. Then maybe some of the money will go to the musician. Black musicians have been treated especially bad in this regard.
You shouldn't defend the laws that allow this kind of abuse.
If you're interested in any of what I've written here, I encourage you to learn more about this. There's an excellent book called "Against IP" that will teach you about the laws and why they are not good for liberty. Then, have a look at one of Richard Stallman's talks about Free Software (you can find them on Youtube, or go to GNU.org or FSF.org).
In summary- you've been lied to about this issue because the people who have all the power depend on these lies to maintain their power. It is not wrong to violate copyright laws because it is not stealing. I would even argue that by using their stuff, even without paying for it, you are hurting your neighbor by allowing those vultures to be useful. The solution is to use freedom respecting alternatives. But it isn't wrong to violate copyright, it's wrong to enforce it because it takes away people's freedom, it imposes artificial scarcity, it reqards greed and covetnous, and it violates the principle of generous giving laid out in the Bible.

  15. What is your take on watching sports on websites that offer free streaming links to the live games? In a predicament where one of my family members wants to watch these live events but using one of these websites. I'm not sure what the best option is to take. Please help

  16. Hey uhmm I have this problem that has been bothering me, I edited a picture on a free app (pretty much, they have premium pictures that you if you use you'll have to pay, but I used free pictures on that picture I edited so it only requires me internet to download it)

But when I finished it, it wouldn't download bcs of low internet connection, so I just screenshot it. Was that wrong? I mean base on this video, I think some people used their internet to download theirs but I just screenshoted mine..was that wrong?
