This REALLY Brings out the realism of the show and wwi aswell as the complete HORRORS of war
About a month passed before the British realized it would take a miracle to win at Gallipoli. They kept those poor boys there bc the propaganda would look bad. Highly recommend Indy Neidell and the Great War team/YouTube channel for more info
The music is amazing does anyone know what it’s called?
The politicians should go fight the wars
had family who fought at gallipoli. Can't belive that they might have gone through these situations.
Turks:
"Let's have black uniforms."
"Heck no it's hot as hell here."
"Good point. Let's have the darkest grey we can get."
ANZACS:
"I'll just load 6.5mm Carcanos in my SMLE ~ should be fine."
This war was like a hell, for a square meter had fallen 6000 bullet on the ground. As a Turk, for the both site who left their lover behind of them and lost their life in this war; rest in peace brave mans🙏🙏🙏 We will never forget any of you.

Rifles, bayonets, grenades. May I ask a dumb question? How about lobbing some of those battlecruiser 14 inch shells over into the Turk's assembly areas?
Aerial recon was mentioned, how about aerial spotting? What am I missing?
Buzzing this just came on after watching The Trench.. can't wait, can't stop watching ww1 stuff
That Sergeant is being run to death up and down the mountain. So Indicative of the madness.
Very impressive. Deserves a high rating.
Why are they doing stupid human wave attacks? This isn’t how infantry works
War is never good. It advances man's ideals- that is all it does.
A terrible thing, it is.
History keeps repeating itself…as Solomon wisely wrote everything that had been done under the sun has already been done.
It's a vainity. Give everyone the DIGNITY they deserve as a human being and you are showing compassion and love. Signs that we are made in God's image and are all connected. Yet, men never learn anything from the mistakes of others. That human suffering befall us all, and life means nothing to some people!
I once thought, let the rulers have it out in a boxing ring. But that would never satisfy their economy. It's greed that starts Wars and civilians that pay the price, innocent men, young boys and now women who are used as the cogs in the wheels for Government Greed!
It makes you question, " who is the God of this System of things on Earth today?" Certainly not Jehovah, the Sovereign God of the Universe nor his Son, Jesus Christ, who threw Satan out of heaven, to the Earth in 1914 prior to WWI, which we read in the apocalyptic book of Revelations.
That officer lost his cool and was too fixated on killing that Turk officer. If only he didn't let his emotions get the better of him, he could have organized a much for effective attack. I guess troops at this time of the war were not trained to 'leapfrog' each other using covering fire and movement. Charging up that hill en masse, screaming and shouting certainly would have helped with the fear, but also giving away your advance. Keeping a loose formation instead of being bunched up would have greatly helped reduce the enemies visibility of them. If they attacked quietly at dawn or dusk, with each section covering each other's advance, they would have done it, using the bad light and the bushes as well as the valleys and ridges to mask their movement and close the distance with the enemy. There is also a shameful lack of smoke grenades being used at the front, seeing as they were invented in 1848, which could have saved many ANZACS from being cut down in the open before they could even fire a shot in anger, as well as masking any necessary bayonet charges.
this series is so terrible and beautiful at the same time. thank you for keeping it safe somewhere. Watching again the first episode just to keep all the names of the officers straight. They all have fine mustaches so look very similar. So far I think the colonel is the only one not underestimating the turks, and dang sgt. Percival is a badass soldier! he ran up and down the hill how many times in one day?! The scottish guy has his head straight too but high command are so full of themselves they cant see the disaster happening. It's been years since I saw this. Watch it over. Learn more each time.
That guy takes is rifle out of a guy he stabbed but their wasn’t even a bayonet on it. 40:57
Ik that there were a lot people died on that area it was horrible for both side….. turks, Australians, I love history and Australia as well! Also I’m glad that I do have Australian gf lmaoo😅 btw i m from turkey moved to USA 😀 Take it easy guys! Rest in peace brave mans for both🇦🇺❤️🇹🇷

The poor sent to fight the poor!
'And the Generals sat, while the lines on the map, moved from side to side. Pink Floyd
Why Did England DECLARE War On Germany ? Not The Fake News Belgium BS. WHY, Would England REALLY Do That ?
It's so sad to see young boys that don't want to kill, frightened into having to kill.
“And now all you have to do is Dig! Dig! Dig! Until you are safe” gives me chills 😱
Gotta' love these war movies where the gun fire sounds like pop corn popping in a corn popping machine and not gunfire.
Is this a true story? Did the men represented by the actors actually lived ?
