  1. So I have had nothing but trouble with Kodi since I installed it 2 weeks ago. Very few add-ons actually work. The ones I want all require YouTube, and that add-on is a dumpster fire requiring API keys. Kodi won't install OpenVPN either for some reason, and no one can seem to help me out with it. HDHomeRun doesn't work either. Kodi also won't recognize my external SSD plugged in via USB to transfer movies… So I can't even use it for it's original purpose. This Kodi project has been, without a shadow of a doubt, the single biggest disappointment and fuck up of all 2020.

  2. Does transferring files from your computer to pi over SSH count against your ISP's data cap?
Also, when transferring over SSH, does that move the file to the Pi's sd card? Or is this to an external flash drive connected to your pi?

Great easy video! I'm excited to try it out and check out your written instructions

  3. I am using a raspberry pi 4 with 8gb ram. I have installed Kodi but I cannot get addons for Netflix, Hulu, or Amazon prime video. I got the add on for YouTube but it doesn’t even work. Any ideas as to what is going on here? It has been very frustrating so far.

  4. I have used much larger sd cards for years. my pi zero w has a 128gig sd card in it. with retropi and kodi with 5,000 games. 16 gigs for games the rest is for movies. save a gig for save states for games. i have 2 pi 3b+ with over 200 gig sd cards. never had any problems. honestly never heard of limit of gig on pi.But i use retropi O.S. and kodi is a add-on to game systems. kodi is filed in ports. might be a O.S. thing

  5. Showing some of the "most interesting stuff" would be ideal if some of the basic stuff actually worked. Unfortunately I receive an error 2 message when I try to navigate to my USB external hard drive in order to import my movies into Kodi. Any thoughts would be highly appreciated

  6. Anyone know the state of the Rpi4/Kodi's ability to do HDR / DolbyVision as of late 2021? I've no experience with Kodi and the RPi (aside for retro emulation), but I've read that Dolby Atmos encoded audio to a device (such as soundbar) that can decode is is working, but I haven't found definitive info on HDR/DolbyVision that's not 1+ years old. Was hoping to build a KODI machine for local streaming and online streaming services, but didn't want to lose HDR/DolbyVision/Atmos support.
