Most people already have a PC, wifi and a TV aerial – all you need to do is add a TV tuner and you can stream TV over your wifi to any room or device on your network!
Its cheap and relatively easy to setup – here’s how mine works!

Nice video Thanks
How do I get the server net address?
I can't find my IP address for my server
I can already tell your channel is one of those rare gems I'll find extremely interesting and needless to say I'll be subscribing and spending the afternoon looking at your content. People pay a lot of money for poor quality Chinese 'video senders' which don't perform even a fraction as well as what you have achieved here.
I've been looking for a way to transmit video content from my desktop to other devices, TV's or smartphones (or better to say duplicate whats on my monitor via wireless). Over the years I've used various methods with varying success but it never occurred to me to do it via WIFI. Latency is obviously not an issue but does your method transmit the video in HD? I'm not asking for a tutorial on how this is done BTW I just find what you've achieved here impressive as most people would just pay silly money for a HDMI sender that has nothing like the flexibility of your setup!
Thank you for posting this!
how can you watch from outside your wifi network? For example – I would like to watch when I am on the bus using mobile data or the wifi network of a coffee shop
Great video! Many Thanks! Question for you…I understand Next PVR gets installed on the server computer with the Ariel but for the KODI application, does that go on just the client machine or does have to be installed on the server computer as well. I will be using a HAUPPAUGE WinTV-DualHD Dual USB 2.0 HD TV Tuner for Windows PC 1595.
Just a few questions can all TVs have something different playing also my TVs have a built in network tv section would that part work for picking it up
I believe the correct British vernacular is "Brilliant"! EXACTLY what I've been looking for, with current and germane screenshots/videos, completely painless installation with no missteps.
I was waiting to discover if I can use my TV's remote control. But the video was too long n tedious. So I gave up. Otherwise this video is an heroic attempt.
Nice video, very well explained. I have some doubts though:
When you record a TV signal, who is really in charge of performing that recording: the server (nextPVR) or the client (Kodi)? if it is the client, is it possible to configure it in a way that this is done by the server so the recordings are available for all other clients as well?
Can kodi itself stream/proxy TV signal and/or recordings (via nextPVR) to other clients? I know Kodi is able to stream movies+tv-shows+music from the libraries to other applications (e.g. Yatse), but I am also aware that this is not possible with other sources (e.g. Youtube add-on). Do you know if this can be done with the nextPVR TV add-on?
Thank you.
this would be cool to setup with my vr pc and bug screen vr I'd be able to leave my PC close to the antenna and take my VR headset anywhere
Great. Thank you.
You can schedule and play back recordings from the clients I assume? Does this have the same limitation of only being able to watch or record one channel per tuner? If you have a house with multiple TVs and kids, you would probably need 4 tuners or even more than that on the server?
i.e. If you had a 2 tuner USB stick or card and someone set two recordings to start, nobody in the house can watch live TV until those recordings end?
Great video, I got a USB capture and never new this was plausible. But I think I'll need a better antena since I don't catch signal.
lod of rubbish , downst work if u wh ere in australia.,
