As opposed to built-in media players in modern TVs that will automatically display network sources via UPnP standard, Kodi app doesn’t support it by default. Instead, to get UPnP support in Kodi you will need to enable on option in its settings menu. Only then will you be able to map folders from your NAS and see audio, video or photo files.
Demonstrated on Android TV 9 (Pie) on TCL C81 4K Ultra HD series TV.
