Amazon Announces New Fire TV For Vehicles and More at CES 2020

Amazon announced multiple new Fire TV Models they plan to roll out in 2020 at the popular CES (Consumer Electronics Show) in Las Vegas.
The featured item will be Fire TV platforms that are built into vehicles as back-seat monitors and infotainment systems. This will include hands free Alexa capabilities and a touchscreen interface along with all features of the Fire TV.

Users can access streaming content and more via the vehicle’s wi-fi/LTE connection, through mobile hotspot, or with any other WAN-device.
Fiat Chrysler and BMW will be the first to implement Amazon’s popular streaming platform into their vehicles. BMW’s Vice President of User Interaction, Faith El-Dwaik, had the following to say about the collaboration:
Adding Fire TV to future BMW vehicles represents a big step in bringing the best of streamed entertainment to our products…With Amazon’s approach… we are able to innovate and create a unique and special experience for BMW cars.
This isn’t the only new device Amazon is creating for Fire TV, however. It also announced plans for more Fire TV edition Smart TV’s with brands such as Grundig, Anker, and Onida. Many of these will be available in the US, Canda, UK and more. Users can purchase these at Best Buy and other high profile retail stores.
Piggybacking off of its 2019 release of the Fire TV Nebula Soundbar, Amazon will also join forces with TCL for another soundbar edition. This one comes in the form of the TCL Alto 8+ with built in sub-woofer. It is available for order via Amazon right now.

These expansions clearly show that Amazon is trying to capture a massive audience within the streaming industry. Marc Whitten, VP of Amazon Fire TV, said the following about his products’ growth:
At CES 2017, we announced the first Fire TV Edition smart TV. Now, just three years later, Fire TV Edition has grown into a worldwide program which will include more than 150 Fire TV Edition models across more than ten countries by the end of the year.
