FBI Terminates Popular Streaming Services iStreamItAll & Jetflix
The FBI recently terminated two popular streaming services and charged the developer(s) with copyright infringement.
iStreamItAll & Jetflix were subscription based platforms that provided members with thousands of Movies & TV Shows in a Netflix like manner. The creator of iStreamItAll, Julius Polo, admitted to running the streaming service and charging members for use.
Prices ranged anywhere from $19.99/month to $179.99 per year and displayed content in an easy to use interface for members to stream.
The Movies and TV Shows within these services were pulled from various torrent sites and stored for streaming. These were available for access via browser, apps, and even a Kodi addon.
Polo and his co-defenandant, Luis Angel Villarino, both plead guilty to copyright infringement charges. With Polo also pleading guilty to money laundering charges. These offenses carry a maximum prison sentence of up to 5 years.
In the case’s statement of Statement of Facts form, it stated how content was displayed for members:
The television shows and movies made available for streaming and downloading on ISIA were primarily sourced from torrent sites and Usenet NZB sites hosting pirated content. The defendant used automated software programs-such as SickRage, Sick Beard, and SABnzbd-to scour popular torrent and Usenet sites for pirated television shows and movies; download those works; and then process, store,, and make those works available for streaming and download through ISIA…
Polo and Villarino will both face sentencing in March.
