Even if Google totally removed it from the Play Store that doesn't mean it would cease to function. You simply wouldn't be able to get it or any future updates from the Play Store. That also doesn't mean it wouldn't be available from the official Kodi Website or elsewhere on the internet as well. Of course without any updates the links would eventually cease to work, but that would take a long while. So no worries. 🙂
