Musical performer Kodi Lee has captured applause, praise, and kudos for his blockbuster July performance on TV talent show America’s Got Talent. The piano and vocal prodigy who is blind and also has autism has become an inspiration to many in the autism and differing abilities community.
On the opposite coast, in New York City, the workers of Luv Michael – a granola company that trains, educates, employs and empowers young adults with autism have caught Kodi Fever. The granologists decided to mail Kodi some of the granola they’ve made with a note telling their story.
Kodi, his brother, and sister, Derek and Kayla made a video opening the package – calling it “Kodi’s First Fan Mail Unboxing”. –
Inspired even further, the “Granologosts” as they are known in the kitchen, decided to write Kodi a letter as a classroom exercise.
“We’ll be sending the letter with more granola and hats and shirts…” says Clare Davis, Luv Michael’s Social Media Specialist and one of the organization’s administrators. She is also featured in the video. “We have so much to say about the incredible talents these people possess. It makes perfect sense to share it with someone like Kodi”, says Davis.
