  1. I have been a CCIE for over 25 years and I call this review straight fantasy and you must be on the payroll for several companies and getting kickbacks. You never have a VPN solution be even close to 60% of maximum Speed; that's with a quad processor in Your VPN solution/Router and yet in your review, you show over 200% speed Improvement – I call BS on that. I have the same router and even with tweaking, I only get 6Mbps out of 100Mbps pipe with two diff. VPN providers; whereas my Trendnet and D-link solution get anywhere from 45-60 Mbps. This plain junk is not worth $199 Dollars like you state, nor the $69 that I paid for it – it goes back to the Newegg's Junk pile tomorrow for a full refund. Dr. James B. Kirk, CW5(r)

  2. Does it support OpenVPN?
Are the devices behind this one going to be locally accessible from the main LAN?
Does it make DHCP lease on its own or relies on the main router for it?
If the VPN connection fails out, would it send the traffic over the unsecure connection or pause it till the VPN reconnects?

  3. Please do NOT add music to videos – it ruins the video as it is louder than your voice in parts and we can not hear you. Music on videos is as bad as adding random sound effects – no one wants it, it adds NO VALUE. You will get your video voted down.

  4. Price of that !!!! Absolutely terrible, pay for a VPN service from PIA or Nord, put the VPN details in your own router if you must, but you are better using a client on each device to protect it fully.
AVOID THIS as the actual mini router costs $15 if you get it from one of the chinese sites, then a year subscription to PIA is around $38 a year for 5 devices. You can buy routers and put the Tomato firmware on too, or buy one a lot cheaper than this.
If you want to protect your phone or computer from people snooping between you and your WiFi router, install the VPN software. The sales person on this video lies about it stating it is a pain to maintain – you don't need to as it is all automatic, set and forget. This router will NOT PROTECT AGAINST MiTM ATTACKS as you can still have snooping take place between your phone and computer and the router itself. With the VPN software on the phone or computer, no one can see anything, plus you are also protected on any other WiFi system you use anywhere, so no need to carry a router about and try to find a way of plugging it in!
You will find that all geo-located TV services are blocked by IP even through a VPN.
This will not keep anything private or anonymous, for that you must use Tor, but follow the instructions and change your habits or you will expose yourself in minutes.

  5. This looks like a repackaged Gl-inet GL-B1300 router which retails for $89 on Gl-inet's web site. With their version 3 firmware, Wireguard is software is built in (Server and Client). You can build your own Wireguard server on a VPS for as little as $5.00 per month and you will have your own non-shared Wireguard server.
